The United States added Chile to the Visa Waiver Program

On February 28, 2014 Chile was added to United States Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
The program allows nationals of certain countries to visit the United States for business or tourism, and are not required to obtain a Non-Immigrant visa or a Reciprocity Fee.

The waver lets tourists stay in the country for 90 days without requiring a visa as long as they are eligible to apply under a regulatory requirement (Both Americans and Chileans).

The visa waiver will bring the number of tourists up for both countries.

Note that if you are American and planning to go across the border to neighbor country Argentina, you will be required to pay the Argentina Visa Fees in advance. You can do it at www.reciprocityfees.org.
